Terms of Service
Terms for using AutoSearch as a chat-first research assistant.
1. Definitions
Service means the AutoSearch software, chat interface, research workflow, billing, and related pages. User means the person or entity using the Service. Content means prompts, files, instructions, and data submitted by a User. Output means reports, summaries, citations, run results, and other material generated by the Service.
2. License granted
AutoSearch grants each User a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal use of the Service during the active account or subscription period.
3. Acceptable use
- No illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive activity.
- No use as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
- No inflated research claims, fake citations, or misleading presentation of preliminary output as validated research.
- No scraping, harvesting, or automated extraction at scale.
- Maximum 1000 runs per day per User unless AutoSearch approves a higher limit in writing.
4. User content and ownership
Users retain ownership of their Content, including prompts and uploaded material. AutoSearch owns the Service, workflow design, methods, software, templates, scoring logic, and operational know-how used to process Content and produce Output.
5. Output disclaimer
Output is a preliminary scan unless a paper_mode workflow has been explicitly validated. AutoSearch is not liable for decisions made based on Output. Users must conduct human review, verify sources, and obtain professional advice where appropriate.
6. Subscription terms
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe in CHF unless a separate written agreement applies. Users may request a 14-day money-back refund unless the account has used more than 10 runs during the refund period.
7. Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify and hold AutoSearch harmless from claims, losses, damages, and expenses arising from misuse of the Service, unlawful Content, breach of these Terms, or decisions made without required human review.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoSearch's aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid by the User for one month of subscription fees, or one month of the applicable plan if a refund is due.
